The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) appreciated by 24 paisa against the US Dollar, closing at 283.21 in the interbank market on Monday, up from 283.45.

In the open market, the dollar was quoted at 284.00 (buying) and 286.55 (selling).

PKR also gained strength against key foreign currencies, including a Rs2.15 rise vs the Euro, and a Rs1.74 gain vs the British Pound.

It appreciated 1.57 rupees against the Swiss Franc, while against the Japanese Yen, the PKR improved to 1.9096.

The currency posted minor gains against CNY (Rs0.06), SAR (Rs0.06), and AED (Rs0.06) as well.

So far in FY25, the rupee has appreciated 55 paisa (0.20%) against the USD.

Meanwhile, KIBOR 6-month rates eased slightly by 2bps to 10.59% (bid) and 10.84% (offer).
